Bone dysplasias represent congenital disorders of bone development. The bone dysplasias without dwarfism may be divided into two large groups: defective ossification and focal bony defects. Of these, hypoplasias and aplasias are the most common. Unilateral aplasia of the fibula is the most common congenital aplasia.
