This is a lumbar spine radiograph of a child with Morquio syndrome. Demonstrated is universal platyspondyly with a central anterior "beak." Intervertebral disk spaces tend to be wide with a gibbus deformity at the thoracolumbar junction. Elsewhere in the spine, C1-2 instability is encountered and the dens may be hypoplastic.
