Although the appearance mimics bladder exstrophy, the above radiograph illustrates hypoplastic iliac bones and delayed ossification of the medial pubic bones, characteristic of cleidocranial dysostosis. On occasion, a severe coxa vara deformity is present which may require osteotomy for treatment.
